Copperband Butterfly
Copperband Butterfly
The Copperband Butterflyfish (Chelmon rostratus) is an elegant and eye-catching saltwater fish known for its bright white body accented with bold vertical orange bands and a distinctive elongated snout. Native to the Indo-Pacific, this peaceful species adds graceful movement and striking color to established marine aquariums of 75 gallons or more. The Copperband is well known for its ability to help control pest Aiptasia anemones, making it a functional as well as beautiful addition to many reef setups. Due to its specialized feeding habits, it does best in mature tanks with plenty of live rock and a varied diet of meaty marine foods. With proper care and a stable environment, the Copperband Butterflyfish becomes a stunning and rewarding centerpiece in any saltwater aquarium.
